Nursery Education Grant Extension
From September 2010 the nursery education provision provided by the government will be increased from 12.5 to 15 hours per week during term time.
We will continue to build the 3 hour sessions into our full days as at present ie; 1 session as part of the morning and another as part of the afternoon.
Our half days will continue to include 1 grant session.
The change coincides with our annual fee review which will be published in July after consultation with our accountant. Fees will continue to be calculated over the year to avoid the difficulties faced by parents when increases have to be applied over holiday periods.
We will continue to offer some stand alone sessions during the afternoon. These will remain at 2.5 hours per day with the balance being provided over the holidays.

Ofsted Report
The new Ofsted report is now available online. If you would like a printed copy please ask a member of staff.
The term 'Safeguarding' is used by Ofsted relating to 'Chilld Protection'. The reason that we were given a Good grading (2) was that two junior members of staff were unsure of the procedure for reporting suspected abuse by parents/carers. This issue has been addressed and all staff members retrained.

Our Ofsted Report has now been published so we can tell you officially that we were given an overall grading as 'Outstanding'.
We are, of course, delighted and Linda and I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff, to the many parents who said very positive things to the inspector and to all parents and carers who help us to make Tree Tops the 'special place' that it is.
We will not sit on our laurels. We know that we don't get everything right all of the time but we do try very hard and will continue to aim for perfection.
